Dear Parents, Parishioners, and Friends of Holy Name,
I am pleased to share some very exciting news with you today. It is my honor to announce t that Mr. Harry Blythewood has accepted the position as our next school principal.
Mr. Harry Blythewood is a seasoned educator who earned a Bachelor degree from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. He possesses a Masters in Educational Leadership from Ashland University. In the past, he has served as the assistant principal at St. Adalbert Catholic School in Cleveland and is presently teaching at Invictus Charter Schools.
Mr. Blythewood is a man of faith and is a parishioner of St. Agnes/ Our Lady of Fatima Parish. He comes to us-- and we welcome him-- as a neighbor. He told us, “I have a deep interest in the students and this community. I grew up in the St. Clair/Superior neighborhood and I can relate to the students and their families.” He will begin his role with us on July 1, 2021. You will have the opportunity to greet him some time in the month of July.
While it was not an easy decision to make, I want to thank the Search Committee. Comprised of educators, educational administrators, businessmen and parents, this group assisted me in screening and interviewing candidates with excellent experience, skills and qualities who helped me make this important decision.
I remain confident that Holy Name Elementary School will continue to fulfill its mission dedicated to promoting excellence rooted in the Catholic faith. Together we create a spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, social and safe environment where all students learn to accept and respect themselves and others.
Msgr. Richard C. Antall
